Semi-Permanent Make–Up

Semi–Permanent Make–Up with its advanced new techniques and procedures will enhance your natural beauty and give your features shape and definition.
Also known as micropigmentation, it is the term used for applying coloured pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. The procedure is completely safe and effective and used for a variety of semi-permanent cosmetic enhancements such as eyebrows, eyeliner and lip liners. After only one procedure you can have stunning smudge free make-up that will last for several years.

-Eyebrows

Once a micropigmentation procedure is complete you can swim, partake in sporting activities or just lie in the sun without the worry of ever again loosing your brows. Choose between a soft textured look or hair simulation. If you have no brow hair, sparse brows due to over plucking the difference balanced brows can make is amazing.

-Eyeliner and Eyelash Enhancement

Make the most of your eyes with micropigmentation. From subtle to dramatic, eyelash enhancement or eyeliner can dramatically define eyes, creating great looks that are long lasting and always perfect.

-Lip Liner and Full Colour

For a truly subtle and beautiful cosmetic effect, micropigmentation is an excellent way of enhancing the shape and colour of your lips. With skilled application, lips can look fuller and more shapely. This fabulous procedure can help reduce lipstick bleed, ensuring that you have perfect lips at all times.

Medical Procedures:- (CPC) Cosmetic Pigment Camouflage

Micropigmentation delivers fantastic results in the medical field. Doctors, nurses, surgeons, radiologists and specialists  have recognised the value of micropigmentation procedures in areas such as vitiligo, scar camouflage, areola restoration and hairline enhancement.

-Burns

Once burnt skin has healed, or a year after any skin graft work, micropigmentation can be used to camouflage or blend colour to existing skin tones.

-Scar Camouflage

Generally a year after a scar has healed; pigments can be used to match the scar to the colour of the surrounding skin in a blending effect. Occasionally the action of micropigmentation(also known as microrepannic actuation) can help to stimulate the area and soften scar tissue. This procedure can be done without pigmentation to simply treat the scarring.

-Areola Restoration

Once reconstructive surgery is complete, micropigmentation is used to create or colour the areola. This usually helps to disguise any scarring and improve appearance. For most clients it is the ‘finishing touch’ on a long and fraught journey.

-Cleft Lip Reconstruction

The appearance of a cleft lip can be dramatically improved with micropigmentation. By creating a balanced shape and camouflaging scars, the lip is given definition and fullness.

Scar,Birth Mark and Tattoo Camouflage

If camouflage is an option you wish to consider, it is recommended that you see a cosmetician who is fully trained in the art of skin camouflage, who will be able to advise and demonstrate the application of the most suitable creams for you. All creams are designed to conceal and blend in with your surrounding skin tones, are water resistant and have a sun protection factor. A consultation will take normally take one hour, sufficient time for you to learn to cover the blemish. Gillean will be happy to help obtaining creams for home use (usually available by perscription from your GP).
